Every lamp begins on a beach in Finistère.

The sea polishes the wood. Years of salt and waves.

I gather it. I turn it into your light.

Driftwood lamps and floor lamps, handmade in Brest. Every piece is one of a kind.

The sea leaves the wood. I make the light.

From the shore to your home

No two lamps are alike.

The wood I use comes from the Breton coast. Every branch has its own shape, its knots, its colour. I don't force it: I follow it. The branch decides what your lamp will look like.

Keep the button pressed: the raw wood turns smooth and the steps light up.

How it's made

Four steps, from your idea to your living room.

  1. 1

    We talk

You tell me where the lamp will go, its size, the mood you want. By phone or at the workshop.

  2. 2

    I choose the wood

I pick the branches that suit your project, and I show them to you.

  3. 3

    I shape it

Cleaning, sanding, assembly, finishing. The cable runs on the outside, along the wood.

  4. 4

    I deliver it

I deliver it myself within 50 km of Brest.

The craftsman

Driftwood is my passion, and I made it my trade. I spend my days between the shore, where I gather it, and the workshop, where it becomes a lamp.

Questions

What people often ask me.

Will it stand steady?

Yes. Every base is balanced and weighted if needed. I test each piece before delivering it.

What about the wiring?

The cable runs on the outside, along the wood, with a switch and a lamp holder that meet safety standards.

My ceiling is low. Is that a problem?

Not at all. For a floor lamp, we start from your ceiling height and adapt.

How do I look after it?

A wipe with a dry cloth now and then. Driftwood has already been through everything.

Where do you deliver?

Within 50 km of Brest: Quimper, Morlaix, Concarneau, Bénodet, Lorient.

How much does it cost?

Every piece is unique, so the price depends on the size and the wood. Call me and I'll give you a clear price before I start.
